carbking
In 1956 Buick used two different makes of carburetors on the Roadmaster: Rochester - identification tag 7009200 Carter - identification tag 2347s The 6-1008 identifies the carburetor ONLY as a Carter and is a number for an unmachined "blank" casting used for internal (Carter) uses only. The castings could be, and generally were, machined for more than one application. Cannot be used for positive carburetor identification. Jon.
