I'm getting ready to replace the rear shock links on my '55 Buick Special. I haven't done this before and was wondering what problems I might encounter and how to avoid them. Thanks for any tips or advice.

That's an easy job. Once you have the links off, the shock levers are quite easy to move up and down to the place where you need them to be for reinstalling the links. Toughest part, as I remember it, is cleaning off all the dirt and road tar so you can get a good bite on the attaching nuts with your socket or wrench. WD-40 sometimes helps soften the road tar and other dirt, then you can just scrape it away with a small screwdriver.
