Wooly15
I have it pulled so I might as well paint it. My question is: can I get by with the regular rustoleum style paint? The only high temperature paint I can find is flat, and the original paint is gloss. I know it will see heat but how much?
old-tank
Any rattle-can paint will work and will be unaffected by heat.

Ttotired
My dodge engine is painted with the exact same paint as I painted the bodywork with Heat paint for exhausts (if you can work out the trick of getting it to stay on and not burn off anyway)
1957buickjim
Rustoleum makes a rattle can High Heat engine paint in Gloss Black that you can get at Home Depot. About $6 a can. Works well and has a nice gloss. Good Luck!
