windscreen set up 1937

Hi could some on explane what type of seal or should I say pattern goes onto the opening of the front body part  I have the rubber that goes onto the screen frame  when it closes onto the body  not sure what goes behind that .any help would be appreciated .kind regards John

There may be an inner seal that goes around the inner part of the frame on the body. The '36's have one as do the Plymouths. Looking at the Steel Rubber catalog they show a number 70-127-52 as an inner perimeter seal. Apparently the '37'a used a single 1 piece seal , not a 2 piece as the '36's. Steels Rubber has good products but are very expensive. Restoration Specialties in Pennsylvania may have a similar extrusion at a far better price. The extrusion listed for the '36's the same as the '37's, but I found that it seems a little smaller than it should be. You can access R.S.'s website and check profiles and they will send you samples to try. Happy hunting!
