Restore my buick electra 1969 :)

Recommended Posts

Then that's what I did this weekend .

I could not do too much work on it on Saturday, I did touch-ups of paintings, finish a few tightenings and a few odds and ends.
Then in the morning my godfather switched to Renault 5 Alpine 1981, then in the afternoon a friend passed in Cadillac Eldorado 1969, and finally, in the late afternoon a friend passed in Ford T 1924

Then, Sunday, a mechanic friend passed in Toyota Corolla 1975, and gave me a big helping hand to adjust the ignition (master cylinder 1 at the top, ...) and then set the head of lighter.

And then we try to start, and the first shot of starter ... it STARTS !!!! I was really happy to hear it again :)
He tried to fine tune the ignition but difficult to do it with the vacuum circuit not connected, the 5v only to the coil, and especially because the cooling circuit did not go up and so we stopped engine to avoid heating it .

Hello everyone, here are some news of this weekend, with the reassembly of various parts.

I continued by the circuit of depression, after looking for a lot of time on old photos and the workshop manual, I normally find the right circuit of the circuit of depression (I have a little doubt still on the hose on the top left of the carburetor, I'll see it soon)

I then took care of the hose that connects the radiator to the gearbox. On the two pipes, there was one in bad condition whose pipe was broken by disconnecting it from the radiator (this dates from 2013/2014) and I had this pipe redone in "aviation hoses".
And I took care of the second pipe this weekend.

So sandblasting

Thank you very much zipdang :) , I still have some hoses to go up again and I'm looking for the original depression pattern, but impossible found :(
I'm happy to see that the 2cv rolls :) , summer is coming and it will soon be time to roll our old cars :)
Have you been able to repair the dynamo?

Are you looking for the original vacuum hose routing diagram?

Hello, yes indeed that's what I'm looking for.
The hoses (pipes) go to the head of igniter, carburettor, pipe of admission, ...)
