Restore my buick electra 1969 :)

Recommended Posts

I Googled "1969 Electra 225 brake rotor" and it took me to the 2017  thread in which you were asking the same thing. Apparently nothing has shown up in the past three years. 😕

But I see the reason for your question. Rockauto shows a rotor for a 1969 Riviera but nothing for an Electra. Hopefully someone with a parts book will be able to answer this question.  Have you given Jason's suggestion any consideration?  'Switch to drum brakes.'

Thank you for your response, I had discs made for a Electra custom made by a professional, but there are still adjustments to be made on the new discs.
But I wanted to know before doing other boring / machining on my new discs if we could put those of Riviera.
I want to keep my disc brakes because it is a rare and original option, I want it to be like when it left the factory :)

You should be very proud of the work that you've done on your Buick!  It looks great and I can't wait to see the gold paint on it!  ;)

I was pleasantly surprised by the good condition of the interior of the wing, by this place which was not pretty, the rest is not bad.
And to have such a nice opening in this place, I take this opportunity to put the hollow body back in case it wouldn't go everywhere the last time

The black part of the partition at the front has already been stripped and painted, so I did not touch it.
We can also see that this gutter is in good condition

And the rocker panels are in very good condition too

Except for these two small imperfections, it is in very good condition.

Then application of phosphate primer

Here for this weekend, the rest will be to repair the two faults, redo all the frame seals and gutter and put it all in primer :)

Good evening everyone, here is news from the Buick :) .
To be able to paint the doors and cards on the body in finishing, I need to move forward on the doors. So, like the other side, take the passenger side doors to the airport, and I got it last week
