Ineresting "Valuation" Tool

Recommended Posts

f you google "Haggerty Valuation Tool", you can look up, supposedly, the value of your classic car, within a certain year spread. Not sure if it's based on their auctions only, or do they use other criteria. Either way, pretty interesting.

That is interesting. Especially how they indicate the value of a 65 is going to go down quite a bit in the next 5 years. As with any valuation estimate, it is general and gets you in the ballpark but you still aren't sure where your seat is. With Riviera's it seems like values can really swing depending on the details/variables of each particular car.

$27,000 for a base '67  #2 Excellent condition.  :D

Surpised!

Thanks for great news. She's a keeper.

I notice that all the prices across the full range go up and down at the same time by the same percentage. Seems to me it's probably just a simple equation of the total values of cars divided by the number and then a multiplier is added for condition.

I checked out a 64' Riviera and their values are pretty whacked - 46k for a concourse car. A 62' Lincoln convertible on the other hand seems spot on...

I wonder what happened in 2013? Maybe a presidential limo sold...

Anything that says 65 Rivieras are going down in the next 5 years is garbage...for starters.

All Rivieras will be going up with the 65s leading the VANGUARD!
