I am looking for any information on the Searchmont automobile company, and would like to possibly purchase a Searchmont if anyone knows of one available. Please contact me at chopperfreak2001@yahoo.com if you can help. My great grandfather was the first person in his home town of Stanton, Virginia to own an automobile: A 1902 Searchmont. Guest Posted September 13, 2002 Share Posted September 13, 2002 Bob, To my knowledge there is only one surviving Searchmont. Last owner I know of was James Conant, Fairview Ohio.
