Gardner Touring Car For Sale

Recommended Posts

Thanks for bringing it to the fore, Hudsy.

This has got to be the same black 1920 Gardner

that was for sale several months ago (and listed on

our forum).  The man that maintains the Gardner

registry had not been aware of that first-year Gardner,

and likely added it to his registry!

It's undoubtedly the same car that you marked for sale

back in June of 2015.  I notice the seller was asking $20,000

then;  but after 9 months and no sale, he raised it to $25,000!

(Where's the logic in that?  A friend must have given him some

pricing advice!)  Here's the link to our forum discussion then:

Hey, in the 1980's I had a really nice 1928 Model A roadster for sale, advertised it for $4200 and no takers.  Told my Dad I was going to lower the price, he said no, try raising it, people must think you have a poor car at that price!  I advertised it for $5200 and took a $4800 offer!  So, no, raising the price is sometimes a good thing...
