That’s just a great picture. The angle of the car, the autumn colors and gray clouds artfully combine to produce a distinctive mood.

The owner has good taste in automobiles. Is this a Super or Roadmaster? Is Carlsbad Black (code 01) the original color?

Thanks!

It's a Flint-built Roadmaster, original paint code 01, and original interior code 70.

It's headed for the upholstery shop, and only in the trailer because the salt has already made an appearance in Minnesota.

Beautiful! How long have you owned it? There was a black 49 Roadmaster Sedanette in Illinois for sale on the Forum a few weeks ago, is this that one?

About 22 years.  Came from Kentucky, bought from second owner who had since 1954.  It appeared at that time as in my avatar photo.

This morning I took my '47 Super Sedanet and went to the mandatory car inspection here in Germany for the very first time after the import. After all the work and effort and passion to make it roadworthy this is the moment of truth. No hiding, no BS - 6 people stood around and underneath the car, inspected it literally from every possible angle. The result  - it passed without a single remark, either the roadworthy test and the classic car check. It cannot be any better. What a relief! And what a beautiful piece of art. mmexport1708953880625.jpg.dd5b0a5b29cd99fb99778526d35c785a.jpgmmexport1708953880373.jpg.f33448475dfe582babb68ecd68282e2c.jpg

Just to revive this post, these are two shots of my recently acquired 1958 - 66R Century 2dr HT Riviera option in Polar Mist.
1st one is with original steel wheels and caps sitting in the Fairfax 2 GM Assembly Plant parking lot Kansas City, very close to the Fairfax 1 location where she was built.
2nd one is driveway with her new 'shoes'. (girls and their shoes, LOL! )
