Guest
Hi need info on the installation of the fuel pump rod bushing on my V-12 flat head.
1- Does the weep" hole go up or down in the casting? The bushing I removed did not have a weep hole.
2 Is it suppose to fit flush on the Cam bearing oil hole? or is there a tolerance required for the bushing depth installation?
Bill Uhouse
Pahrump nevada
Guest
Weephole goes down, the best thing is build a driver to install this bushing.
Bushing should be installed about 0.30 from the bottom of cam-bearing housing.
Guest
Thanks WA for the info on the instalation of the bushing, I did make up a special tool for it's installation to keep it straight.
I'm using a dental mirror to make sure I don't contact the cam bearing. It's odd that lincoln does not provide more info, except for maintaing a 7/8ths inch height from the top of the valve gallery.
Bill Uhouse
