Guest Chuck Conrad
John,
I'm a little baffeled. I've used Front Page for quite some time and never had it do that. In fact, importing documents seems to be one of the few things it really does easily. Tonight, I can't get it to post a picture from my scanner for love or money, but it imported text from a huge email attachment flawlessly. Go figure.
Chuck Conrad
Chuck Conrad
John N. Packard
Chuck,
It seems to be documents that I generate in Wordperfect that are the problem. Frontpage seems to interpret these troublesome characters as special WP typographic symbols. If I go into the HTML code I am able to delete them. It's a nuisance and of course I always miss a few!
jnp
Guest Chuck Conrad
It's probably Microsoft's subtle way of telling you that you should be using Microsoft Word to compose your documents!
Chuck
Guest
Wont WordPerfect say a doc in HTML format?
Import THAT into Frontpage, will probably do the trick.
Peter
------------------
Peter Gariepy
peterg@aaca.org
www.aaca.org
John N. Packard
Peter,
That's a good suggestion. It's in the conversion to HTML that things are going awry. I'll try it tonight!
jnp
