1955 Chrysler Windsor

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

Last month I was considering getting a 1955 Chrysler Windsor, but I declined after being told I would have to rebuild the vacuum brake booster. Now I thought about it again and I might buy it but there is one thing that I do not like and that is the engine bay there appears to be a lot of rust and I am not sure if it is worth buying.

I would worry a lot more about the rust in the body

If a little thing like surface rust is going to stop you, you should not even thing about restoring an old car.

That is by far the easiest thing to correct.

Is it really rusty? It looks to me as if a radiator hose let go and sprayed rusty water all over it. In any case, as has been said, a rusty body would be much much worse...
