1940TORPEDO
Thanks Gary. Looking for someone with that has personally dealt with a company or person. A good reference seems much better than looking in a catalog and hoping I pick the right individual.
Guest bkazmer
consider having a new key made for the cylinder - a decent locksmith can do this
Curti
I have dealt with Davis lock for 25 + years. Ask for GT. Some times he walks on water. Tell him Curt the Auburn guy gave you his number. Rusty_OToole
The good locksmith seems to be a thing of the past. I know 3 or 4 locally that couldn't key a lock for a 49 Chrysler after I took it out of the car. If you can't make a key for a 5 pin Yale lock you are no locksmith. 1940TORPEDO
I agree. We used to have a good one here but it seems they have moved on.
cheezestaak2000
the olds dealer where i worked had a selection of brass tumblers in the parts department. when we had to replace a lock cylinder, we would code it to the key that fit everything else, it's really not that difficult to do
JACK M
I had a key made for my 46 Chrysler trunk by the guy with a tiny shop on the mall parking lot.He had just taken the place over and I call it throwing him a bone for good luck.Reasonable price and it works well.
