trimacar
Just acquired the pictured engine to put in an early 50's Chevrolet frame that I have....was told it might be a late 50's engine....came out of a 60k mile truck, ran great before being removed last week....can anyone ID a year and size based on pictures? trimacar
Y'all can ignore this if you wish, It turned out it was pretty simple to google it...appears to be a '61 235...with after market Wayne covers....
Jeff Perkins / Mn
Just saw your post.....I just sold a '59 235 with a T85N 3spd OD.......looks like that is the trans on yours? Stovebolt.com is an excellent resource for the inline Chevy 6's. Interesting to see the Wayne finned aluminum parts, wonder what lurks on the inside? Good Luck Dave! Jeff P. / Mn. Mark Simmons
An interesting point to me is it has an older floor start bell housing which looks to be missing the upper inspection cover. Like kking15 am wondering what is lurking on the inside could be the 150 hp corvette cam which makes these peppy for their size. Those bolt on Wayne covers make those motors pop when they're all shined up. Good Luck with it.
