50jetback
1924 McLaughlin BUICK model 24-45 120” WHEELBASE 6 CYLINDER ( 255 CUBIC INCHES ) FEATURING 4 WHEEL BRAKES AND THE LUXURY MCLAUGHLIN BODY. This beautiful car underwent a body off '' nut and bolt '' restoration by a restorer who has subsequently restored Australian National Meet Jaguar concourse winners. The Buick restoration was completed in 1998. It features a classic fully imported MCLAUGHLIN body with such refinements as highly polished wooden dashboard and trim, fine leather upholstery, storage compartments containing cocktail service, tool kit and handbook, Appleton spotlight/trouble lamp/rear view mirror combination, accessory wire wheels and the list goes on. The photographs give the best description of the car which is painted in its original colours of deep blue with black guards and tan leather upholstery. Top is black original style material with complete wet weather equipment ( side curtains ). During the restoration some original MCLAUGHLIN parts could not be sourced so equivalent Buick parts were substituted. This includes the radiator badge ( which we believe should have MCLAUGHLIN on it as well as Buick ), wheels ( should probably mention MCLAUGHLIN on the cap), gauges ( has black faced Buick but believed should be white faced ) and probably the tail light is Buick and not MCLAUGHLIN. These items are easily rectified if you can source the correct items and it annoys you enough to want to change them! The car has been meticulously maintained and is regularly rallied. The current owner is downsizing his collection and is now offering this beautiful car for sale. Price is US$32,000. The owner is experienced with shipping and can assist in that area. A Free Trade Agreement exists between Australia and the United States so there should be no USACustoms concerns or import duty. We don't pay import duty on vehicles we import from the USA and under the Free Trade Agreement the reverse applies. Direct contact can be made with the ownerJohn BELLbellkulin@bigpond.comBunbury Western Australia I have personally known this car since its restoration was completed and it is big, beautiful and fast. I have rallied alongside it for many hundreds of miles and can supply additional photos of it being rallied.

dibarlaw
I found this photo of a 1924-45 McLaughlin. John in Virginia has a 1923-45 McLaughlin with the same type of wood combination top sockets. The early photo shows the correct hub caps and radiator badge. 50jetback
The owner has made inquiry about shipping costs from Fremantle Western Australia to New York USA, Long Beach USA and Tilbury UK. Shipping/delivery to those ports is now included in the sale price of US$32000. Please inquire about other European ports. dibarlaw
I guess I could do it if only.....Where did I put that "Powerball" ticket. You have certainly made it attractive enough for us in the US. It really is a lovely car.
