yellowdog
Hello, My muffler is falling apart (failed inspection). I would like to find a good used one or....? Anyone have a spare they are willing to sell? Cheers,Andreas
Digger914
Go to NAPA and buy a new standard size, 1 in 1 out round muffler, get the Walker, it will fit the pipe better than the IPC. Flush cut the stainless tip off your old muffler, bump it up a 16th to fit over the outlet, square it up and tack weld it in place. Do a good full seam weld and only you will know that it's not the ridiculously priced, impossible to find factory muffler. Bumping up the stainless with a manual expander is a "B" without a torch and air impact, but it can be done. With the right tools this is a 20 minute job. Best advice is find a muffler shop that has a pipe bender, buy the muffler from them and pay the extra $20 to have the tip fit.
