Curti Posted November 9, 2015 Share Posted November 9, 2015 This is a fix that an old friend with 40+ years in the auto electric business taught me. It is common for resistance to build up under the rivets of the end plate. This is an Auto-Lite starter. I would suspect Delco is similar. Rebuilders typically replace the brushes, bushings and bendix and fresh coat of paint and call it done. It STILL turns over slow.
