Halloween

I can look at Halloween cars any day of the year, just by walking out to my garage and seeing my collection of hearses.  This is the only time of year I get invited anywhere, and I know its not me that they're inviting, its the car.  But my hearses spend Halloween safely locked up inside.  I don't need them sitting outside being targets for misguided ideas of "fun", especially after my Packard coach got egged one year.

One of the transparent 1940 Pontiac show cars

was owned by one of our A.A.C.A. region members

in the 1970's.  He drove the fragile Plexiglas-bodied car

it in the Carlisle, Penna. Hallowe'en parade with lit pumpkins

in the see-through trunk.

That must have been quite a memorable sight!

That was in the 1960's or early 1970's.

At the time, the Pontiac was unrestored, and he had

purchased the unusual car for $750.  The picture here

shows it totally restored, with a later owner, also from

our A.A.C.A. region.
