My heater control valve gets no vacuum and i can see the line inside the car but cannot find it in the back of the HVAC controller... maybe color faded.. not sure.. Digger914 Posted October 9, 2015 Share Posted October 9, 2015 Don't have the vacuum line "pinout" for the heater control valve, can point you to within inches of where the problem usually is when when all the lines are connected inside the car. On the firewall look down and to the left of the brake assembly for a thin piece of plastic vacuum line hanging free and pointing towards the exhaust. On the V6 when the line comes loose at the throttle body it slides down, touches the hot pipe and melts away leaving just a stub sticking out of the firewall, this looks so natural that you can look at it a dozen times and not notice it. On the 8v Turbo when the line comes loose the other lines tend to hold it in place and the open end usually stays pretty close to where it connects.
