It could be the downfall of the prime minister in Canada. It is being negotiated while parliament is in recess in the middle of an election. It has been suggested that it will eliminate thousands of jobs in the automotive, dairy and manufacturing sectors! Just what we don't need! Wayne

Remember back in the late 60's when the politicians were telling us that the U.S. needed to go metric so that other countries would buy more U.S. cars if they were metric?  Well the result of going metric in the auto industry was making foreign made cheap labor metric parts became a bigger and bigger percentage of U.S. assembled cars. The days of the 100% U.S. - Canadian auto are gone and will never be back. The only remainder of U.S. auto dominance is the wheel rim sizes.  Soon we'll be rolling on 711.2's in our Escalde.
