1920's Dodge Brothers Transmission?

Recommended Posts

In with a bunch of Model T parts I recently bought was this transmission. It was said to be from a late teens to early 1920’s Dodge Brothers.  Can anyone identify it?

Definitely Dodge.  Going out on a limb here to say 1921 based on the number on the side of the case.  I have a later one with the same shifter but mine has the speedo drive in the top.  Yours doesn't.

Hello, Gentlemen,

Since we are on the topic of transmissions. Can anyone tell me if the guts of a 23 Dodge trans fit a 1917 Dodge trans? I eed to find replacement gears for my 1917.

Thanks Steve!!

Maybe the answer is to replace yours with this one since Bob says it will fit.

I would think that 40_Buick could take a look inside since he want to find a new home for it anyway.

Bob, what denotes it being 22-23? How is it different than 20 and earlier?

Dave
