Wanted: 1930 Chevrolet engine parts

Recommended Posts

Trying to assemble a 194 6-cylinder engine from a 1930 Chevrolet, out of a bunch of parts I was given. I find I am missing the oil pump hold-down or lock bolt; and I am missing main bearing oiler #2. Any leads appreciated. The Filling Station does not stock these. See photos. Please do not refer me to the VCCA's web site. It is so complicated that I cannot get into it nor make any use of it despite many repeated tries.

I would try:

Gary at Early Chevrolet Parts (314) 293-1991 Missouri
Lonny at Stanleys Parts (817) 478-7265 Texas

These 2 guys carry a good assortment of parts and pieces, and if they DO NOT have it sometimes they have a lead of WHO might.  Usually my first stop for hard to find NON reproduced parts.  These parts I am sure will be used, as not sure there are any reproduced replacements for them out there.

Did you get your parts? I might have a lead on a 30 block. The distributor lock bolt is actually a slotted head screw with a jamb nut. It is not a hex head. I would think that there are many years that would work for you. The oiler is probably a different story. If you haven't found one I can inquire with a local guy.
