Guest firemuseum
My Johnson 243 Carburetor is in need of rebuild kit including gaskets, needles and float. Can anyone help me find the parts or someone who can rebuild my carburetor. It is the last hurdle I have in getting the fire engine on the road. Guest firemuseum
I have found a couple of places that could refurbish my carburetor for the 1921 REO , one in Arizona and one in Troy , Michigan. I went for the one in Michigan because the wait in Arizona was 14 weeks. I will post pictures when the carburetor arrives. They did the work in 7 days. Very nice company to deal with. Engineco14
Hello, I just read your post about your REO carburetor rebuild. Do you have a Johnson A-1 carb? And where did you have it rebuilt. I have a fully restored 1922 REO Fire Engine with a four cylinder engine and the Johnson A-1 carb. it runs well but could use a rebuilt carb kit. Thank you Howard P.S. I also have a great many parts for a REO fire Engine Edited July 7, 2016 by Engineco14 (see edit history)
