motoringicons
SOLD: Here's a real solid and great running Flathead Ford that won't break the bank. This 1947 Deluxe Tudor is a solid, Kansas car that is ready to use and enjoy. The running boards, floor pans, trunk pans, sills and rockers are about as solid as you'll find. The doors fit the body well and the fenders do not appear to have ever been damaged or repaired. When you crawl underneath this car, it is obvious that it has never been abused or rusted. The older, exterior black repaint presents well while showing the typical signs of wear. The stainless trim is nice and most of the chrome is good with the exception of the bumpers which should be re-replated. The interior is covered in old, vinyl seat covers. It is nice and clean with good carpets and a clean headliner. The dashboard is also nice. The best part about this car is the mechanicals. The former owner did a lot of work and used the car on a regular basis. The car was not a stranger to long distance driving. The brakes have been fully serviced and work great. The steering is rebuilt and the car rides on nearly new, Coker tires. The flathead engine runs smooth. It starts easily and runs very cool and quiet. It has been recently fitted with new Bob Drake water pumps, a Petronix ignition system, a six volt alternator and dual exhausts. The gauges, lights, wipers, horn and even the radio works. This car goes down the road straight and is a pleasure to drive. Priced super reasonably at 11,000.00 and it is located near Jefferson, WI.
