kirby655
Need a picture of what the emergency brake handle & mechanism bolt to on the car. Base plate has two vertical holes and three horizontal holes in the front. Nothing in the car to bolt it to. Help please!!
ply33
Parts book I have has no illustrations of the handle mounting. I would not be too surprised if it is similar to my '33 where the handle mounts to a frame cross member. I can't tell from the parts book and the '31 transmission is totally different from the '33, but on the '33 the gear shift lever mounts to a frame cross member and the handbrake lever mounts to that same cross member. kirby655
Reply to PLY33 - My gear shift also mounts the cross member which supports the back of the transmission. However the cross member has no mounting holes that will accept the e-brake.keiser31 - Your picture is excellent. Similarity ends at the brake band,. Have attached a picture of what I have. The only attachment points I find are two on the side of the trans and one on the side of the bell housing. I assume that I am missing brackets which mount at these points and hold the e-brake mechanism. Input much appreciated.

ply33
Your bracket looks like it might mount under the shift lever. It seems to have an "H" pattern gate that a shifter might and the holes look like they might line up.
kirby655
Thanks - it does fit under the gear shift. Will make that change tomorrow. Now I only need to find a sedan left rear fender. Will be off and driving soon with what I have!
