for trade or sale, older aluminum boat

Recommended Posts

I restored this 1978 StarCraft Islander several years ago and I don't use it much any more as the son in law now has a boat.

It is absolutely water tight.

Hydraulic steering (yes hydraulic).

dual fuel tanks, the boat gets very good fuel mileage. You can run all day on 24 gallons.

The Evinrude motor is 150 hp and is a 1997. The computer shows just over 100 hours.

Trailer has new tires last year as the originals were showing some weathering. It is galvanized tandem axel with surge brakes on one axel.

I have never had tis boat in salt water, and it shows no salt pitting or corrosion. I only used it for pulling the kids on water skis. That is less than half throttle, This boat goes fast when you want it to and accelerates quickly.

There are no dock dings, very straight compared to like aluminum boats.

I would swap for a late twenties or early thirties Mopar.

Valued at 12 to 15 thousand dollars. Believe me the restoration was more than double that.
