wcpaxton
Finally after all this time and postings, I have collected a wooden nickel from each year of the Hershey fall meets. In doing so I have acquired several extra ones, old and recent, if anyone is interested. oldgoat@paxtonwarehouse.com 252-399-9128
John_S_in_Penna
Knowing how hard you must have been working on it,a hearty congratulations! Just for the record, can you tell us what years theywere made, and the year no wooden nickel was issued?
wcpaxton
Thanks John-------had a lot of fun doing this and met a lot of nice members from the AACA and other clubs. Started working on this after Hershey last year and just had a call Tuesday that someone had a 1980 one answering my ad in the AACA magazine. First year was 1980, then 1981, skipped 1982, and made every year thereafter. If someone could tell me how to post a pic of these I'll take one on my phone and do so. John_S_in_Penna
I wouldn't be surprised if there is some clubof wooden nickel collectors. They couldtell you ways they have found for displaying them.I suspect some of their display methods may bethe same as for collectible coins.
