jpeg1 Posted January 7, 2002 Posted January 7, 2002 Hi. Would anyone happen to have a Transitone dash mounted radio in their late 20's early 30 classic car. We are trying to find a picture of this. Thanks! JW
Tim Wolfe Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Did you ever get this info? I have a copy of an article that has a very good photo of this radio for a 1930 Chrysler I could send you if I had an email address for you. timandjuliawolfe1@roadrunner.com
trimacar Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Were there car radios (even as accessories) in the 1920's? I was always under the impression that the early 30's were the first ones. I have a Philco Transitone radio that is a steering column mount, for an early '30's car, in excellent condition, even has the key in the head. Don't know if it works. If anyone is interested would sell for $300, or I'll put it on Ebay later. thanks dc
