ROD W
Just a mater of interest. Is the whole body wood or is the cowl metal over a wood frame
Daves1940Buick56S
Lovely! Is this a Model 28 or a Model 36? Cheers, Dave
ROD W
Dave, Its a Model 28, on Ebay. Would love it but too expensive for me.
Larry Schramm
Beautiful car but too rich for me. Would love to have it though.
Mark Shaw
All wood body frame with steel skins only on the doors and cowl. The rest of the body is wood.

Mark Shaw
Rod, My 1912 Model 34 does not have a cowl like yours, but the photo below tells the story.
trimacar
The metal cowl on the one for sale is referred to as a scuttle dash, due to resemblance to a coal scuttle...as opposed to car under restoration shown with a flat dash.....I'm sure it's correct, but the way the top goes down at an angle on the restored car looks goofy..... ROD W
Yes I was wondering if the top being on such an angle was correct or not
dibarlaw
These tops are placed in this (Folded at rest position) at the more vertical angle is because otherwise one would have to partially raise the top to put gas in the tank. Not a problem with a touring car.
Mark Shaw
I didn't like the original top down look either. So mine sits horizontally when down and I just lift it to fill the tank. I usually leave the top up while touring anyway. Too much sun just wears me out and my wife is a fair skinned red-head that is practically allergic to the sun.
