Joe Cocuzza
I already know the answer but...... So, after thinning the herd down from 9 to 3 cars, 2 running/driving, the other needing work, I was feeling okay with it because I just did not have the time or resources to maintain them all. I had some cash AND some space freed up.There lies the problem - having some free space.........Anyway, I was bored Sunday night so I decided to browse Craigslist which I knew was not being done "just to kill time". Because I live in NE Penna I usually narrow my "searching" to the Pa. listings and the NJ listings. I already did the "buy a car and then go trailer it home - driving a total of 17 hours straight" thing. So now I like to keep the radius to less than a 2 hour drive.Penna did not produce anything interesting. But, of course, the NJ listing had a listing that got my attention.SO THE DISEASE WAS STIRRED UP AGAIN.There was a phone # and I hesitated because it was close to 10:30 pm Sunday but I pulled the trigger and called anyway.Spoke with the gentleman selling the car for his 80 year old buddy and made arrangements to go look at the car the next day, Monday, before going to work. Needless to say, from what I saw and was told about the car, I was going there to buy it not just go see it. (THAT DARNED BUG BIT ME, AGAIN....).It turns out the car was put in the garage 43 years ago and that is where I looked at it.Of course I bought it and now I need to get it home.Oh yeah, it's a 1951 Chrysler Windsor Town and Country Wagon to boot....... I am not new to car collecting but this can be maddening at times. We cannot control this disease and noone understands why except the others that have it.
