1933-34 (?) Lincoln Grille

I recently acquired an old Lincoln Grille in need of substantial restoration. The outer shell is definately chrome plated. Can someone tell me the finish on the inner mesh grille? It does not appear like chrome, perhaps nickel? Also the inner (engine) side of the outer shell does not appear to have the same chrome plating as the visible part. If nothing else, this grille would make a great wall-hanging, but I would like to restore it originally, in case someone needs it for their car. Thanks!
