FrankWest107
I have to revise this post. I found in ford green bible that the gas tank to firewall is a two steel hose system. The large tube for the gas and the smaller tube for air? The Green book shows two numbers18-9296 and 18-9297 for the identical part???MAC's auto have a hose that looks like it may be the one, they list the part as 40-9289 called siamese Gas gauge Air and fuel lines? Any info on these parts will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Edited July 8, 2015 by FrankWest107 (see edit history)

FrankWest107
I read in a hod rod site that the original fuel line and fuel gauge were at best troublesome.Because the air line had to be perfect without the slightest leak...I probably will not try to restore the original fuel gauge...seems like a pain...I have too many other projects going on with my car.
