Dave@Moon Posted June 4, 2001 Posted June 4, 2001 What is the highest production car (in a given model/calander year) that has achieved recognized status by the CCCA?
Guest Chuck Conrad Posted June 6, 2001 Posted June 6, 2001 Probably the 1947 Cadillac series 62 would be the highest production followed by the 1941 Cadillac. I'd guess that the 1929 Packards might be number three. Perhaps some of our members have more precise information than I, and I will cheerfully "stand corrected."
Guest Posted June 9, 2001 Posted June 9, 2001 Yes, Chuck is on the mark with the #1 model being the '47 Cadillac 62 series with 39,834 listed as total model year numbers from Bev Kimes Standard Catalog. Number 2 is not the '41 Cadillac 62, as I suspected, with 24,734,(4th), or is it the '29 Packard 626 at 26,070,(3rd). Second spot is the 1928 Packard 526 with a production run of 28,336
