1931 PA Transmission Questions

The major problem lies with the free wheeling mechanism. No 2nd or 3rd until installed the control cable and "locked" the free-wheeling.

However, still have occasional problem with "clutch chatter". Think it may be jumping gears in the tranny or rear end. Will be looking here next.

Post is old but here is what I found out. When in free wheeling; in order to shift to second or third you need to lift your foot off the accelerator and allow the engine to go into an idle. you then shift gears; wait a second or two then accelerate
