mvmautorossa 16
I am building up a chassis that will eventually be a speedster (most likely look will be mid-teens) -- in the meantime, as I complete the chassis I would like to drive it around to test the mechanicals until I finalize my body design. I would imagine I am not alone in wanting to get it on the road without a body -- so, I am trying to accumulate a few pictures of what others have done to rig up a nice (but temporary) seat. Any and all help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Bob Edited June 19, 2015 by mvmautorossa (see edit history)
whtbaron 18
For boat seats we have used a plywood base with 6" of foam... cover it with vinyl and staple the bottom...quick and dirty but not for the finished product
boojoe 18
I like using a milk crate on a piece of plywood
trimacar 3,247
Go to Walmart and buy a plastic moulded chair. Remove legs and bolt to cross pieces on frame. Use big washers, and use at you own risk...
whtbaron 18
I remember seeing a gasser in the 60's that used 2 kitchen chairs fastened to a wooden frame. No way that thing would get on a track now!
