1927Chevy
Ladies and Gents I have seen pics of a 1922 Studebaker touring car front spindle king pin lubricating system with Alemite grease fitting while my 1923 has oilers with cap for oil. I do not think Alemite grease fittings would work, the old fashioned oilers would be required to accomplish lubrication all the way to the bottom, perhaps I am wrong. My car also sat for a long time and I am not sure if the king pins were ever removed. They are tight. Ken

Stude Light
Picture of king pin from my 1923 Light Six EM and an excerpt on the Big Six (see paragraph for 1918-1921). Not sure if they replaced all the oilers with Alemite or just the ones for the leaf spring support bolts.Scott Edited June 12, 2015 by Stude Light (see edit history)
JFranklin
Stude Light, Where did you source the tie rod boots (Grease/dust seals)? I had to ask, sorry to the OP. Edited June 12, 2015 by JFranklin (see edit history)
Stude Light
JFranklin,Those are my original parts. I just cleaned them up and added some clear coat for rust protection. I can look around for a spare if you need a pattern.Scottsmrdeza@lentel.com
