Prepping for headlight motor install

Got my headlight motor all rebuilt from Vogel.  Ive cleaned and lubed everything in the system, but I still dont like how hard I have to manually push on the rods to get the headlights to open and close.  I dont want to put the motor in and burn it up if its not free enough.

How free is the push/pull supposed to be at the rod ends?

I think I need to spend some time on my pivot points.  I dont think they are in line correctly and taking too much pressure to transmit motion through.  They just flop around when not hooked up, so its not a lube issue, just think the angles are off.  Everything moves really smooth, I just dont like the force needed to move them at the motor end.

Before you install the motor. Upgrade the in line fuses. The ones Vogel put on mine are for a stereo installation. They need something a little more water tight. I've been in some rain. And the in line fuses he installed corrode and fail to allow the motor to function. I have to take them apart and clean them up to get the connection again.
