Once you have the number you can tell the model year and series of the car it was originally used in. Generally the number will be preceded by two letters that indicate the model designation, i.e. EP prefix is a 1925-26 Big Six, EK a 1922-24 Big Six, EQ a 1925-26 Special Six etc. Edited May 29, 2015 by studeq (see edit history) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The Commander Posted May 30, 2015 Share Posted May 30, 2015 Many of the parts are interchangeable, But the engines ARE DIFFERENT. The back of the engine ... one has a bell housing, the other nothing. The oil systems inside are totally different. Yes, you can change pistons, barrels and heads ( Special to Special and Big to Big. Accessories are mostly the same.
