Guest Posted August 31, 2000 Posted August 31, 2000 I own a 1908 Buick Model G and have misplaced the specifications on this vehicle. I am looking for information on the number produced, engine specifications, etc. I'd also like to know how to confirm this is a Model G.
Thank you
[This message has been edited by Robert Clifford (edited 08-31-2000).]
DGPoff Posted September 1, 2000 Posted September 1, 2000 The model G was a roadster(2 passenger) version of the 2 cylinder Buick for 1908. The touring car would be a Model F. The engine is a 2 cylinder, 22 hp, 159 cubic inch, with a 4.5 inch bore and a 5 inch stroke. The production for 1908 is listed as 289 units for s "G." The wheel base should be 92 inches, and is the same as a Model F. 1908 saw a change from the 1907 Models as the body, hood, radiator and lights were "updated." The 1908 is more angular on the hood and radiator, than the more curvy 1906-7. 1908 lamps were all Corcoran, 3 tier on side and tail, compared to the 1906-7 which were Gray and Davis 'bullet' style.

------------------
Don Poffenroth
1910 Buick F
1915 Dort M5
"Brass is Best!"
