AK Buickman
I have a set of two gold-plated, pot metal nameplates about 6 inches long, that spell out ROADMASTER, but I never saw a Buick of any year with this style lettering. The letters are somewhat thick, and, unlike a 1955-1956 style nameplate, the nameplate is flat, as compared to the usual pointed, slender letters as used by Buick on a Roadmaster. There are attaching studs on the reverse side. I found these in a Buick dealer in the early 1970's; a dealer that had been in business since the 1930's or 1940's.<BR>The big question; What other companies used the Roadmaster name for their product in the 50's and 60's, that would have used these Roadmaster nameplates?? They are too large for a Roadmaster bicycle. Any Roadmaster appliances, machinery, travel trailers, tractors, steel sheds, etc???? I got them as a pair, so whatever they are from, probably had a right & left side (?)
