An Oldsmobile earlier as the Curved Dash?

Recommended Posts

Last year I saw in Fresno/CA at Central Valley Classics an Oldsmobile. This Oldsmobile shall be an experimental car before the Curved Dash. But I am not sure if this car ist authentic or something built together from different cars.
Have somebody seen this car and what is your opinion about it?
------------------
Thomas Borchers
There are oldsmobiles older than the cdo. Oldsmobile started in 1897, so although some look crude and some look like they were cobbled together, there are a few that do exhist. check Dennis Castile's book on Oldsmobiles and it will show pictures and production numbers.

Best of luck,

Joe Ferrero

1915 Oldsmobile Model 42

I have seen this car (is it green), it is a 1904 or newer CDO. The owner cooked up the story a long time ago and now it means big $$$$$ fo be a prototype. Beware.....

At the end of 1 cylinder production in 1906 Olds built straight dash cars on the same chassis as the curved dash. They look more archaic to some viewers and lead some to think they are earlier.
