The Driver Class is somewhat different from the Historical Preservation of Original Features (HPOF) class which has been around for over 10 years. The HPOF vehicles must be at least 35 years old and to be certified must be sustantially original. Certainly there have been some items that required maintenance - but we are looking for unrestored vehicles. The Drivers class will include vehicles 25 years old or older. This will include vehicles that have had substantial work, but not a full competitive restoration and those which are used frequently as daily drivers or for touring. For example my '34 Chevy has had far too much work, repaint, new top and runningboards, engine worked on and painted, etc. It certainly will not qualify as an unrestored vehicle, but it is used on tours and is not a show quality restoration - this is a good one for the Drivers class.<P>This is the concept. Details are still be worked out and you will see more about this very soon. Your '69 Mustang Mach One sound like the kind of car we are looking for participation.
