K8096
Mike, obviously your company is best known for it's fuel pump rebuilding service. Why don't you tell us about the challenges you've had with modern fuels eating fuel pump diaphragms, and how your company has finally hopefully found a diaphragm material that is impervious to even E-15 fuels. TexRiv_63
Hey Mike, welcome to the forum. You rebuilt the fuel pump for my 32 Cadillac years ago and I still have you in my contact list.

Why don't you tell us about the challenges you've had with modern fuels eating fuel pump diaphragms, and how your company has finally hopefully found a diaphragm material that is impervious to even E-15 fuels. The material we use, and have used for many years is Buna-n Nitrile. We have found that it is one of the only two materials that will stand up to any amount of alcohol that is available today. I personally have tested it in 100% alcohol for over 30 days and found no problems with the sample. The valve plates are made out of Viton, which is another material that seems to be impervious to this fuel.
K8096
That's great. We recently had your shop redo a fuel pump for us that had been last rebuilt in the 1990's and the diaphragm finally gave out due to the alcohol in the fuel.

Guest Mike-Casella
I only have a late model vehicle now, in 2009 I cleaned house and unloaded the last of my toys, all except the motorhome.
