Bumper polishing?

Recommended Posts

Yes, but they are anodized so the surface is hardened such that normal polishing will not have much effect without removing the anodizing. That can be done chemically or mechanically, but you are then left with a regular aluminum finish that would need to be clear coated, powder coated or regularly cleaned and polished if left natural. Or, if you can find a shop to do it, have it reanodized.

Thanks. I am sanding the anodizing off with 400/800/1200/2000 then polishing it with rouge followed by polishing compound then I will clear coat. I can do it all in my shop.

Just wanted to make sure I was working with aluminum and not Zamak or some other exotic metal.
