Guest Posted May 20, 2002 Share Posted May 20, 2002 Pour a concrete footing at least 4 foot deep with a gravel base not forgetting a wood template with the bolt spacing using rated bolts with 5" washers set into the footing.<BR>A friend and I mounted a Fairbanks-Morse type Y heavy oil engine coupled to a Westinghouse 250 kva squirrel cage alternator with external DC field excitation that way.
