EARLY CHRYSLER/MOPAR p/n 748788

Howdy, Can any body identify part number 748788, I cannot find it in my parts book.

This number is hand written on the back of my rhd 1939 Chrysler accelerator pedal.

I cant find a listing for accelerator or throttle pedal by name in my parts book ( issued April 1939) either.

I assume it should be the same as a lhd pedal?? can anyone assist,TKs

Sorry, that number is skipped in my '36 to '48 Plymouth parts book.

No matter, I have sleuth-ed it myself, the faint handwritten number 748788 on the back of the accelerator/gas pedal should decipher as 798188,

FWIW, part 798188 was used on Plymouths as follows: 1939 P7 & P8, 1940 P9 & P10, 1941 P11 & P12.

I also discovered that this part no also shows up in my 1939 chrysler numerical part number list, but is not repeated in section 14-A (accelerator and throttle control) as book suggests.

I think I can take a punt on that this part number (gas pedal) was common to all 1939 or so Mopars
