Guest Posted February 18, 2002 Posted February 18, 2002 I've been told I need a fan clutch but that has difficult to find. Does anyone have an alternative solution to this problem?
thanks.stan stan011@msn.com
Guest Posted February 18, 2002 Posted February 18, 2002 Nice big 7 blade aftermarket flex fan would fix you up, are you sure that is the source of your problem?
If there is no resistance to rotation with the engine shut off I'd say all the silicone fluid has run out, if it's OK with the engine shut off try heating the little thermstatic spring on the front cover gently with a torch.
This spring controls a fluid porthole which will increase the resistance to rotation, if there is no change when you do this likely it's bad.
[ 02-18-2002: Message edited by: Chuck da Machinist ]
[ 02-18-2002: Message edited by: Chuck da Machinist ]
