Hudsy Wudsy
First of all, I know nothing about this Craigslist offering. It's just something that I stumbled across. I thought I'd post it here to see if it's anything that one of you might have an interest in checking out.http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/pts/4879510803.html

Gunsmoke
I'm restoring a '31 CD8 Roadster, this engine gives me some ideas as I try to find a suitable/useable drivetrain for my project. looking for a straight 8n but may have to eventually settle for a good souped up 6. Not loking to spend a fortune. If any one has a good CD8 or DG8 engine, let me know please
moose50
Wow. The head alone is worth the $700.

Bleach
That's the same post in the original link. Nothing happens when I press the reply button like everyone else.
JACK M
I would guess that whoever has this doesn't know what year it is.I don't see a relisting, I would be interested and its just over an hour from me. The drive up there can take much longer depending on the time of day.
Bleach
Could be less than 15 minutes from me.

dmgoulet
Isnt it taboo to put a Ford power plant in a Mopar?
countrytravler
You mean the other way around? Its a Mopar Hemi.
dmgoulet
You are right... I am using my phone and my eyes are getting old... i thought the engine was a Ford flathead
Bleach
I had to read more thinking it was some sort of mistake in the ad as Ford never made a hemi in the 50's. The ad is confusing also since you could never order a hemi in a Ford from the dealer then.
countrytravler
I think the ad was referring to, Ready to drop in a 30s ford. That was a popular combo in the 50s.
JACK M
The seller is saying that if you ordered a deuce coupe with flames it could come with a Hemi.He is funning us !!I guess since all of the shows feature many old Fords with Chevrolet motors, seeing one with a Mopar makes me feel a bit more at home.Personally I look for old unrestorable Mopars for my Hemis.
