Guest Will C
If winter wasn't depressing enough, Now we have to hear from a overgrown rat. Anyone have any Decon?
West Peterson
That's what my calendar says, too.Actually, the calendar says we have more than six weeks of winter left, so hopefully the woodchuck is correct.
Guest AlCapone
The big rat has been wrong before. His credentials are lousy. If he was good at what he does he could find work more than one day a year ! Wayne
Dandy Dave
LOL.. Yup, The Wood Chuck from Punxsutawney is only calculated as being right 40% of the time. The odds are against him. MCHinson
I will trust the Robins more than a rodent in PA. I have seen the Robins returning to my area in the past few days. Plants are starting to poke out of the ground. Buds are developing on shrubbery. Spring appears to be arriving in the near future in Southeast North Carolina. keiser31
The rodent could very well be wrong after last year when he was dropped. Probably got concussed. Our rodent does not have an opinion..... Edited February 2, 2015 by keiser31 (see edit history)

rocketraider
Give the animal rights folks enough time and they'll try to put Mr. Phil out of a job. You never saw such a ruckus as they raised over the Brasstown NC New Year's Eve Possum Drop. They claim the Possum Drop traumatizes our little marsupial friend, never mind the folks in Brasstown treat said Possum like royalty. I mean, after all, we're talking about a critter that has trouble successfully crossing a road. A leisurely ride down a pole with all kinds of possum delicacies in the box sounds like a pretty good life for a Possum to me...

Paul Dobbin
The possum is famous everywhere. There is one on display at the Smithsonian Museum, claimed to be the only one that ever made it across the road.
Jim Bollman
I figure Phil always see his shadow. The pictures look like they bring him out before the sun is up and use all kinds of flood lights for the cameras. But I'm with West, if Spring shows up in 6 weeks that is an early Spring in the North Country.
Larry W
I have a ground hog tunneling under my pole barn. Whenever spring arrives, he'll be greeted with a bullet.
